The Basilicata region of southern Italy is  very interesting although not very well known.
It offers history, culture, beautiful scenery, traditional rites, skiing, good wine & food andfriendly people!
It’s full of villages, castles, Greek and Roman ruins. Potenza, the regional capital, has a beautiful old town with many churches, the Cathedral and the museums.
The city enjoys a central location from which to reach towns and picturesque villages and, in less than 2 hours, city of art and history.
Basilicata has a crystal clear sea and offers sandy beaches like that ionic of Metaponto or romantic cliffs of Maratea.
After a day trip it’s nice to come back in the peace of this place!
